Ortega-Medina & Associates is a US immigration law firm located in London which services companies and individuals throughout the EU. The firm, which has a particularly strong client base in London and France, now has a full time opening for an Entry Level US Immigration Lawyer. The incumbent will represent clients of the firm in relation to US immigration applications under the supervision of a partner.
Duties:
1. Advise clients in relation to business and employment based US visa applications, including pre-screening; preparing and filing visa petitions and applications including L1, E2, and H-1B visa cases;
2. Manage and maintain files to the firm's high standards;
3. Perform legal research and disseminate information to other fee-earners.
Minimum Qualifications:
The incumbent will be both an attorney and a member in good standing of the bar of the Supreme Court of the United States or of the highest court of any US State, territory, insular possession, or District of Columbia; possess excellent legal research skills regarding US laws and regulations; be a national or permanent resident of any country of the EU; be familiar with US immigration laws, regulations and procedures; have the ability to communicate effectively in writing in both English and French; possess experience of managing legal files, drafting legal memoranda, interacting with clients and; be able to work independently and under pressure.
Annual Salary: £24,000 to £26,000, plus share of fees, depending on experience.

Law Clerk (Entry Level)

Minimum Requirements: University degree, any subject; Familiar with Microsoft Office; Familiar with Adobe; Proficient with computers, including Macs; Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients in English; Must be a national or resident of the EU; Multilingual Preferred (e.g., French, Hebrew, German)
Annual Salary: £16,000 to £18,000, depending on experience.

We are seeking a receptionist with 1+ years of experience, preferably in a law firm working environment for our San Francisco office.
Must possesses a high level of professionalism in both manner and appearance, customer service and telephone skills. Duties include answering telephones, greeting of clients, scheduling of conference room, processing and scanning incoming and outgoing mail and doing overflow work when required. Must have knowledge of Word, Adobe (PDF), and Outlook.
Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with 1 hour lunch. Punctuality is a must.
