ICE’s FOIA Office Shows Ballooning Wait Times The median time FOIA requests have been waiting unanswered in ICE’s backlog has climbed 64% in the last 60 days. During this period, receipts of new FOIA requests and monthly closure numbers have not noticeably changed so the rise may reflect management problems.

Following the initial announcement in 2008, the US Embassy has now approved an official design and announces plans to move into the new facility by 2017.
